Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of localraid.com (the "app"), operated by a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned business. By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the app. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering or listing a business, and to keep it current. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, or to scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer our public search endpoints.
  • Submit false, misleading, or infringing business listings, or list a business you do not own or are not authorized to represent.
  • Attempt to access another user's data, bypass security, or interfere with the app's operation.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to call our search functions outside the app without authorization.

4. Business Listings & Subscriptions

When you list a business or restaurant, you grant us a license to display the submitted content within the app to connect you with nearby customers. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for holding any required licenses or insurance you claim. Featured and Elite subscription tiers are paid services; payments are processed by our payment provider and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may verify, decline, suspend, or remove listings that violate these Terms or our verification standards.

5. Search Results & Third-Party Data

Search results combine data from OpenStreetMap and other public sources with paid listings and AI-assisted matching. Results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Store inventory, hours, and availability are not guaranteed and should be confirmed directly with the business. We are not responsible for the conduct, products, or services of any business listed in the app.

6. Device Permissions

The app may request location and camera permissions to provide nearby search and product scanning. Granting these permissions is optional and revocable. See our Privacy Policy for how location and camera data are handled.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, including without limitation its software, source code, object code, user interface, visual design, layout, graphics, text, data compilation, branding, logos, and the "localraid.com" name and marks (collectively, the "Service Content"), is owned by us and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. "localraid.com" and related marks are our trademarks; all other trademarks shown are the property of their owners and used by permission or for identification only.

You are granted only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the app for its intended purpose. You receive no ownership or other rights in the Service Content. You may not, and may not allow anyone else to: (a) copy, reproduce, republish, download, distribute, broadcast, mirror, or publicly display any part of the app or Service Content; (b) modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the app or Service Content; (c) scrape, crawl, index, or extract data from the app by any automated or manual means for any purpose, including building a competing or similar product or service; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app; or (e) use the app's branding, marks, or design to impersonate or create a confusingly similar service. Business logos and listing content remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed by permission.

8. User-Generated Content

Certain features of the app allow you to submit and share content, including business and restaurant listings, reviews, community events, RSVPs, singles profiles, and direct messages ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit and for ensuring it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You agree not to submit User Content that:

  • Is unlawful, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or sexually explicit;
  • Infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
  • Is false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive;
  • Promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity; or
  • Contains viruses, malware, or is otherwise harmful to the app or its users.

By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, use, display, and process that content within the app for the purpose of operating and improving the service. We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any User Content that violates these Terms, and to suspend or terminate access for users who violate them.

Reporting and blocking. If you encounter User Content or another user that you believe violates these Terms, you can report it using the in-app "Report" option available on listings, reviews, events, and singles profiles. You can also block another user from within the Singles chat or from your Account screen; blocked users cannot send you messages and will no longer appear in your matches. Our team reviews reports and may remove objectionable content or take action against offending accounts.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SEARCH RESULTS ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS, IF ANY.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us and our affiliates, officers, and agents harmless from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the app; (b) your listings, content, or conduct; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; or (d) your infringement or misappropriation of any third-party intellectual-property or other rights. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification) remain in effect after termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
